Humptulips kings!
The Humptulips is at 350 cfs ( low and clear). The fishing has been good for kings, a fresh batch of kings moved in this week and we are seeing more bright fish each day. The chums have moved in also and are thick in places. There were a few bright silvers in the river this week also but not many ( no where near the number of silvers there should be) we had our best results this week on eggs but there were a few fish being caught on jigs also.

Washington Albacore Tuna!
We fished out of ilwaco this week and saw a bit of everything. The weather was calm and sunny one day and rough windy and nasty the next.
The fishing was a lot like the weather at times the fishing
was supper hot and other times we had to scratch for every bite.
Our main focus was tuna this week but we were also able to
get into some hot bass fishing on our way in a couple of the days.
Live bait was the ticket this week for the tuna, the fish
did not seem to be hitting the troll very well but we did get a few troll fish
on swim baits and cedar plugs
Although I did not salmon fish the reports along the beach
were good with many people catching mixed limits of kings and silvers.
I am now booking Humptulips, Satsop, wynoochee and Olympic peninsula salmon drift boat trips.

killing the tuna on live bait at ilwaco!
We had great tuna
fishing at ilwaco this weekend! The fishing was so good we were able to put the
troll rods away and fish just live bait all weekend.
The average size of are fish were very large this week with
several fish in the 30 pound range. I still have a few tuna seats open this
year and I expect the fishing to be very good for the next several weeks. Those
fishing salmon in the ocean were also doing very well catching easy limits of
both kings and Coho .
