Westport halibut and lingcod

We had a great time at Westport Tuesday

The overall weather was very good but it did get a bit foggy at times

When considering the good water, the fishing was a bit on the slow side this trip, I expected to kill them but instead we had to work very hard for our fish we stuck at it and ended the day with a very nice batch of fish

Jigs were working best for the lings and the halibut seemed to like the fresh bait best.

The weather was   very poor at Neah bay this weekend

The fishing was great when we could  get to where we wanted to fish  but we had to play a lot of duck and hide from the weather this weekend

Fridays  fishing was great , but Saturday and Sunday we were not able to fish where I wanted   to due to the weather but we were still able to find some nice fish.

The weather forecast is looking much better for this weekends  neah bay halibut derby  (added bonus this year’s winners gets free moorage for next year’s halibut season)

Giant Westport lingcod and halibut!

The lingcod fishing at westport was as good as it gets!

Monster ling after monster ling! it was some of the best lingcod fishing I have seen!

Just when I thought it could not get any better it did.

The fish were biting everything we dropped down on the deep water days.

on the near shore days the bass were biting very good but we had to work very hard to get our lings.

Neah bay lingcod and bottom fish

We had a great time fishing neah bay this week.  The overall weather was very good this week  but the wind did kick up a bit at times.

We had limits of nice lingcod and rockfish each day. we did well with a combination of jigs and bait this weekend but the bigger fish seemed to becoming on the jigs

I expect the fishing at neah bay to continue to be good for the next few weeks.

I have a few open seats Sunday may 8 for deep water lingcod and bottom fish $275 each.
