Neah bay salmon, lingcod, and bottom fish!

We had a great time at Neah bay  this week.

The overall weather and water conditions were very good  but we did have some fog at times.

The overall fishing was outstanding  we had limits of kings, lingcod, and bottom fish each day

we had very fast action on small to mid-sized kings with three or four kings on at the same time many times each day.

The fish were thick, guys were catching them from the surface all the way to the bottom (we were running our gear 75 to 150 feet down and hooking up on the way down many times)

The gear did not seem to matter this week , spoons, hoochies, buck tails, and hearing were all working well (everything we put out got hit)

The lingcod and bottom fishing was also very good , we had fast action for mid-sized lings with a few big ones mixed in. The lingcod were biting  jigs very well ,  we also caught several very nice Cabazon this week.

The bass were biting shrimp fly’s and small grubs very well also, we had several time that we has two fish on and there very more fish fallowing them searching for another hook to bite.

I expect both the salmon and bottom fishing at neah bay to be good for the next several weeks

I hope I see you on the water soon!

Westport salmon, lingcod, and bottom fish

The overall weather was good at Westport this week, but it did blow hard most of the day on Monday

The overall fishing was only ok this week, we had fast action on the rock fish with easy limits each day,  good to slow fishing for the lingcod depending on the day, and very slow salmon  fishing with the exception on Sunday night when we had a pretty good bite going.

I expect the salmon fishing at Westport to continue to be slow  for the next few days till a fresh batch of fish moves in.

On the bright side the salmon fishing has been good at neah bay  both on the beach and off shore.
and the tuna should be showing up  at Westport any day
Hope to see you on the water soon.

Westport Monster Lingcod, Nice halibut, and lots of bass!

We had a great weekend at Westport
The overall weather was very nice. Calm seas and very little wind.
The lingcod fishing this weekend was outstanding. We had very fast action on giant lingcod and were also able to catch a  nice batch of halibut and limits of bass.
The gear seemed to be changing from day to day ( lancer eels, pipe jigs, power grubs, darts, fresh bait, and shrimp flies all caught lots of fish for us this weekend
Salmon fishing is just around the corner and there are still a bunch of nice lingcod and bottom fish available .
Looking forward to seeing you out on the water.
