Fast action for salmon and bottom fish!

The overall weather and water conditions were very good this week

For the most part we had light winds  small swells and no rain ( we did have some thick fog at times)

We had limits of salmon and bottom fish every day this week

We had  very fast action  on silvers with plenty of kings around also.

I expect the fishing to be good as long as that salmon quota lasts.

Neah bay salmon, lingcod and bottom fish

The overall fishing and weather conditions have been very good.

We are having fast action on a mixed bag of kings and silvers

The near shore bass fishing has been very good with lots of jumbo rockfish

We have been having to work hard for our lings but we are finding a few very nice ones mixed in.

Neah bay,Monster halibut, big lingcod, and lots of bottom fish

We had a great week at neah bay!  The overall water and weather conditions were very good.

The halibut , lingcod , and bottom fishing was outstanding this week

The big halibut were on the bite! We were able to catch several very nice halibut,  the lingcod fishing was also outstanding

It was a great end to our halibut and Deepwater lingcod season

(for those willing to fish in Canada there are still plenty of halibut out there for you to catch all summer)

the good news is the near shore ling fishing is starting to pick up and the bass fishing has been very good!

There has been several schools of bass feeding on the surface lately and they have been more than willing to bite.

Salmon fishing is open at neah bay now. We will be focusing our  efforts on salmon and near shore bottom fish for the next few weeks.

Big halibut, big lingcod, and nice bottom fish at Neah bay!

The Deepwater fishing was great at  neah bay this week!

We saw a little bit of everything weather wise.

At times it was sunny and nice and at other times it was downright nasty; dumping  rain and howling winds!

The overall deep water fishing was excellent but not easy at times: windy, rainy, choppy , and a major dog fish invasion made conditions a bit tough at times but our overall results were outstanding!

We had our best luck for lingcod with jigs and grubs.  Good fresh bait accounted for most of our halibut.

While the off shore fishing was great the near shore fishing was much tougher, the rock fish bit well on shrimp flys , grubs and darts but the near shore lings where very tough to find this week, pipe jigs, twin tail scampi’s, and lancers jigs worked best for us.
