Sekiu halibut and lingcod
The over all halibut and lingcod fishing was very good in the ocean this spring, we had to battle some rough water at times but the fish did not seem to mind. we are switching gears to salmon and near shore bottom fish in july. I hope to see you on the water soon. A heads up highway 112 along the water is still closed so you will want to take 101 around lake crescent to Sappho on your way up.

Sekiu halibut
The overall fishing conditions were very tough this
weekend(wind , waves, fog ,and strong currents)
but we battled through and caught some very nice fish.

westport halibut, lingcod and bottom fish
The overall fishing was a bit slow at times, it seemed like
the bite was a bit off this week but we
worked hard and were able to get some nice batches of fish.
The tuna are about 100m miles from Westport right now, those
that have the range to get to them have been doing well but most do not!
Salmon pressure has been light but there have been some very nice
kings being caught
I Hope to see you on the water soon!

Giant august halibut at Sekiu!!!!!
We had a fantastic weekend at sekiu. The over all weather was very good and the fishing was outstanding!!!! It did get foggy at time but ocean conditions were great most of the weekend The big halibut were on the bite! our big fish for the weekend were 110, 105, 95,92,83,79,and 78 pounds! The lingcod fishing was also very good with easy limits of big lings , we had to work a bit for the near shore rock fish but were able to get them. We were even able to pick up a quick limit of coho on Friday before area four closed to salmon. It’s been a little different fishing from sekiu instead of neah bay but the people at Mason olsen’ resorts have been doing at great job at keeping things running as smoothly as posable with the larger then normal crowds and it has been a pleasure fishing there. I hope to see you on the water soon!
