Boat Loads of tuna at westport!

We saw a bit of everything this weekend at Westport. The overall tuna fishing was great this week and the weather varied a lot,  one day it was blowing like crazy and very rough and the next it was flat calm. The fish were biting very well on both the troll and the live bait but there were still  times when we had to scratch for every bite. The tuna season is going very well right now and should continue to be good for the next month and a half. Although we did not fish for salmon the king fishing at Westport was very slow this week. The silver fishing has picked up in 90 to 140 feet of water off the north beach but there are still not as many silvers out there as there should be. The Columbia river was hot for kings this week but expect to be fishing near a few thousand of your closest friends!
